Working Out Without Weights

Strength training in one form or another form is one of the best ways to not only burn fat but it also, according to experts helps boost your metabolism. According to some researchers the more muscle mass you have the better your body burns calories so if you want to lose weight quicker and get more tight and toned the easiest answer is to start strength training.

It’s always imperative that you check with your doctor before beginning any diet or exercise program for the first time but after your doctor has given you the all clear to go ahead – you might want to consider a workout without weights.

Often to join a gym can be costly and time consuming and if you buy a personal home gym it can equally be just as costly if not more.

One thing I have found very helpful in the battle against the bulge is to do exercises such as push-ups, situps and the like. This way you get the benefit of resistance training only you are using your own body weight for the resistance.

It’s recommended that you at least begin to do some kind of resistance training such as push ups and sit ups to begin to work the muscles of your body as this will promote more effective calorie burning. Again check with your family physician first if this is your first time.
