What foods to eat to live longer and healthier?

Which foods should you be eating:
You would be mistaken to assume all food is good for you. Even apparently healthy foods like liver , which provides iron should be eaten in moderation as too much iron can actually be quite bad for you. Additional fruit and vegetables should be eaten but again you should be aware that over doing fruits and vegetables can lead to weight gain. One important thing to bear in mind as you get older is your cholesterol levels and you should avoid foods which lead to high cholesterol levels. Cholesterol can lead to hardened arteries the major cause of heart attacks and strokes.
Who or what can tell me if i’m eating right?
On visiting a doctor he will quickly be able to access if you are over or under weight and need to be on a diet of some kind. He will weigh you and decide if you need to shed a few pounds or in some cases gain a few pounds. He will offer diet advice and help you plan what you should and should not be eating. If you are over weight he will also recommend a reduction in your intake and suggest a exercise regimen.
Remember that you should always try to eat a balanced diet. Try to make sure that you only eat the amounts your doctor advises, and also get enough exercise that you need to stay healthy as you start aging. Speak to your doctor if you don’t know how to work out the amount of calories in food or what to eat he or she will be happy to help.
You’ll find support groups in every town. Ask your doctor or the local hospital to point you in the right direction. Once you find a group you’ll find people who can offer you support and advice this will help keep you going in the right direction when things get hard.
Start slowly then as you get better you can get develop your plans. Additionally with will power and determination you can achieve almost anything you put your mind to. It’s not as difficult as you think as long as you set yourself realistic goals at the start and accept there will be setbacks on the way.
