Low Cost Liposuction

December 26, 2007 by Linda A. Lithony

How much does liposuction cost? It’s no secret that a good cosmetic surgery can cost a couple of thousand Dollars. Since these kinds of aesthetic surgeries are not covered by health insurance, a cosmetic surgery like a liposuction is out of reach for most people. Because of the increasing demand for these procedures in the last years, there are several private companies today that offer financing solutions at interesting conditions.

So how much is the liposuction cost really? Before you consider financing you should make some research. The prices for a liposuction depend on many different factors. If your plan is an extensive fat removal then you must calculate with about $10,000.

It also depends on the area itself. So are the back, buttocks and the arms cheaper areas for example, while liposuction on the abdomen or breasts are significantly more expensive.

The costs for the liposuction surgery can also increase when there are other risk factors to consider. What is the general health condition of the patient, how good is his/her skin condition, are there scars or has there been a liposuction before already?

The next factor which has big influence on the liposuction costs is the cosmetic surgeon himself. The more experience he has the more expensive he is. You also pay for the location. A New York liposuction will cost you more than a liposuction in a less expensive area simply because the costs for the surgeon are lower.

Modern equipment has also its price. If you want a laser liposuction with the latest equipment you must pay more. Here it clearly pays to spend more to get better results.

What is the price for looking better, younger or healthier? Many would pay any price but you can save money on a liposuction when you know all these factors and are willing to spend a little time in research. The best way to save some money is to get the surgery in a less expensive city. There you can still get a top surgeon but pay less.
