* Keep Yourself Busy

When there is nothing to do, food is a easy fix for boredom. Staying busy will help keep food off your mind.

* Get Rid Of Tempting Foods

We all have foods that we can’t resist. Knowing that, it’s best to not have those foods around the house. Out of sight, out of mind.

* Be Aware of Your Portions

The amount you eat is as impacting as the foods you eat. On average, if you eat 10% less, you will lose 20 lbs a year without changing the actual foods you eat.

* Exercise Calories

It takes one hour of exercise to burn off 500 calories. One piece of cheesecake contains 500 calories. So, what is easiest: NOT eating the cheesecake, or doing aerobic exercise for one whole hour.

* Stop for a Breather

Next time when you are about to eat something you shouldn’t, pause for a couple of seconds and ask yourself - “Is It Worth It?” If the answer is “Yes”, go ahead and indulge. If the answer is “No”, step back and congratulate yourself for taking that pause.

Try to plan your meals in advance. Not knowing what you are going to eat will send you right to the fast food joint.

* Get Physical Everyday

Do not overwhelm yourself with an outrageous workout plan. Just use the stairs when available or do not worry about getting a good parking spot. Take advantage of walking when you can. Just 15 minutes daily of walking results in a 10 lb weight loss in only one year!
