Weight Loss Chart for Lovers of Wickedly Delicious Summer Goodies
March 20, 2010 Filed Under: Weight Loss
For me it’s almost time to bid farewell to the much loved ice creams with whipped toppings that have had their way wicked way with me all through this wet, yet delightful summer. Drawn like magnets – the extra grams from my delicious habit, seem to have been thrown at my body with a garden spade and landed here and there and are sticking as though glued – in unwanted places.
So, it’s down to some serious, concentrated exercising to trim away the unwanted bulges before the start of the autumn potato season – another favourite. Potato with sour cream, crispy bacon, grated cheese, scrumptious cheesy sauces and not forgetting potato with butter and I’m very partial to a good helping of potato soup on a cold winter’s day and while we’re on the subject – fluffy mashed potato’s, the fluffier the better with cream, butter and milk wouldn’t go amiss either, especially if served with – dare I say it – gravy. Does anyone on the planet – except me, eat mashed potato’s with gravy? Of course not!
With a mouth already watering in anticipation of the ‘potato months’ to come – and a realisation that the swallows, swifts and geese that have been our welcome neighbours of the past months will soon migrate to their winter homes. Leaves of once perfect green, soon to be turned into a brilliance of colours that only autumn can provide, I find myself with that sudden reoccurring thought of squirrelling ice cream in the freezer to be nibbled during the winter months – a thought that comes back to me each and every year.
Sadly the future – at least the rest of 2007 as far as potato’s go, doesn’t look bright. The heavy rain masses during the last couple of months have ruined potato crops – a rotten potato.
Back to the ice cream – the ’summer habit’ is a force to be reckoned with every year, so I’ve concluded that a weight loss chart has to be a priority in order to keep check on the grams that can so easily become kilograms. Not fanatically, just to to keep those sneak-up-on-you bulges at bay that are really not welcome at my age, as they are more difficult to lose as one becomes older.
Not wanting to reinvent the wheel, I worked out that a weight loss chart couldn’t be all that difficult to set up myself in a spreadsheet. Here’s a copy of the weight loss chart spreadsheet that you can download and use yourself. The spreadsheet is in Excel (xls) format. If you don’t have Excel – a very good alternative to the office-pack (Open Office) can be downloaded at no charge here.
