Do You Have 2 Opposing Definitions Of Success?
January 22, 2008 by George Harrison · Leave a Comment
Here’s the Clue: “Our Thoughts Are Not Always In Agreement With Our Spoken And Written Words.”
What does that mean?
There are basic energies associated with ideas and words.
All our communication and actions are based on our ideas and words, but, often, it turns out that our ideas do not match up with the definitions of the words we use in daily Life.
You could easily have one meaning at the Conscious Mind level (which is the only one we use during our daily activities).
But, there could be an entirely different interpretation of these words or ideas at our Subconscious Mind level.
If our Conscious Mind and our Subconscious Mind have a disagreement over the “real” meaning of a word or idea, then, Nature has decreed that our Subconscious Mind will get the final, determining vote on the matter, regardless of our Conscious wishes to the contrary.
Unfortunately, the Subconscious Mind has our oldest and most flawed memory patterns as to what words and ideas mean to us.
It would be a mistake to think that these old memories are forgotten. They are still at work 24/7 defining our World and what we’re allowed to do and not do. We have to bring these definitions into alignment with our Conscious wishes in order to succeed.
How is this done?
The most common approaches have been to employ either Psychotherapy or Hypnotherapy to find the root of these patterned responses. But, this can be a lengthy and expensive way to go. I must say, however, that of the two approaches, Hypnotherapy gets the fastest results by a country mile.
Could there be another way to resolve these mis-aligned Minds of ours? I believe so. At least, that’s been my experience.
How do we go about this? If we go directly to the concepts, words and structures where the energies are locked up in patterns, we can affect and change them and bring them into alignment with our present adult definitions, goals and desires.
When I did this, I found this interesting quirk: No matter where the recipient of this process lived, even on the other side of the globe, the effects took place and positive energy was released and progress noted where none had happened before.
The model I’m entertaining on how this is happening deals with a link being made to the SuperConscious Mind via the SubConscious Mind during the procedure.
That would appear to be a little too much to go into in this blog right now, but, if you’re interested further you can visit my link at the end of this article for more information.
How can you use this information now?
Well, I’d say one of the first things I’d recommend (barring using this new approach) would be to carefully examine the words and phrases you use in your everyday life and try to determine if you actually have positive feelings about the so-called positive affirmations that you may be using.
You see, positive thinking is great, but, it will only really work if there is no inner opposition to what’s being said. And, the little kid inside you, may have a different view of what money, success and work mean to Them than the adult You does!
It’s just the way we’re built. The Subconscious Mind will win in any argument or disagreement between the definition or meaning of a word, idea or phrase, no matter how popular or sweet it seems to the Conscious Mind.
That is, unless you can change their perspective to match your adult one.
Your Subconscious Mind is working 24 hours a day, every day while your Conscious Mind is only “on duty” during your waking hours. That means, just on the basis of “work hours”, you Subconscious Mind will beat your Conscious Mind every time. And, you aren’t going to be able to “wear it down” by repeating mantras of positive affirmations because it will be working on undoing them while you’re sleeping every night.
But, if you put yourself in a relaxed state and emotionally “reason” with your younger self (the Subconscious Mind) about how it’s definitions of words like “love”, “success” or “money” are no longer needed or appropriate, you can, perhaps make some headway in solving the problem. All these old programs are only there to further your Survival (which is the Subconscious’s main motivation to keep these programs running) and need to be converted into your desired definitions to make you truly Happy
You can do this right where you live and on your own. It costs nothing and might help as I said.
If you decide to have a good hypnotherapist help you with this, make sure you are both on the same page and after the same results. Changing your old definitions of the very words that describe what you’re trying to accomplish in your adult life.
Although this process will quite often require some regression hypnosis work, in the end you’ll almost certainly be pleased with the results. - George

How To Achieve Your Goals With Positive Thinking
January 22, 2008 by Alan Allport · Leave a Comment
Let’s face it, we all want to feel happy and fulfilled. But most of us don’t feel particularly happy with our lot in life.
When we feel like this, our relationships can suffer. If you want to bring more happiness into your life, stop looking for it externally. You have to start within by learning to feel better about yourself.
To put this in its proper perspective, a positive mental attitude begins with the things that we tell ourselves on a subconscious level. In other words, how a man thinketh is how he will become.
There are many things that will distract us from being successful and happy with ourselves. Sometimes we think in our minds that we are somehow lacking in a certain capacity, or that a task is virtually impossible to complete because of circumstances beyond our control.
Your mind has no doubt been the recipient of much more negative self-talk than positive over the years and this alone is the major reason why presently your much more likely to fail than succeed.
To change the outcome of our situation we must “reprogram” our minds at the subconscious level with thoughts of a positive nature. Then when distractions and negative input comes along from other people, you have to learn to immediately discard them.
Simply let the “garbage in” and then “throw the garbage back out” of your mind. This will let you focus on the positive thoughts that you have placed in your subconscious mind. The result is a clearer perspective of your opportunities for success and the attainment of your goals. The trick here is to keep feeding your mind positive thoughts.
Here are 5 tips to developing a positive mental attitude:
1. Visualize yourself doing exactly what you want to accomplish in your own mind. Practice makes perfect. This is true of mental visualization of the accomplishment of your goal too. Imagine yourself doing what you want to accomplish and walk yourself through the steps necessary to achieve it in your mind.
2. Repetition is the key to success with visualization. Develop a routine of doing it several times a day. Your subconscious is uncritical so the key is to present it with thoughts that you’ve already achieved what you’re trying to achieve. Then it will do all in its considerable power to to bring to your external reality what you’ve visualized internally.
3. Write down your goals on paper. This way you will not forget them. And by reading your goals back to yourself every night before retiring, your subconscious mind will work overnight to bring about positive change for the next day.
4. Your subconscious mind can only react to the thoughts that you give it. To bring yourself success, you have to keep feeding your subconscious mind with positive instructions about what you want it to do for you. This technique will put your success on autopilot!
5. The universe gives to you several times over what you give to others so make sure that you are unfailingly generous.
You must come to the conclusion that you are really the master of your own fate. Your ship really is under your own command, it’s not just being blown aimlessly around by destiny. If your life is not how you want it to be, you do have the power to change it.
The challenge of life is to produce love and happiness in the midst of all the daily pressures we encounter. It is easy to live the way you want to when you start to realize the power you have to change your own thoughts. Let today be the beginning of a happier and more productive life for yourself and your loved ones by developing your positive mental attitude.

You Can Succeed If You Get Your Thinking House In Order
January 22, 2008 by Alan Allport · Leave a Comment
The truth is you can pick up any number of books like Napoleon Hill’s classic “Think and Grow Rich” and learn the strategies to change your life around. In fact you can start today to become what you think. Eliminate all those negative thoughts and substitute positive ones.
Make yourself the promise that, starting today, you’ll really start to believe in yourself and give yourself the chance you deserve to succeed. To give yourself the very best chance of success at whatever you want to do with yourself you must start with a plan. If you want to achieve your goals, you must know what those goals are and come up with a logical plan for achieving them. Makes sense, right? You can’t possibly arrive at your destination if you don’t know in advance what that destination is.
Once you’ve decided on your ultimate goal, your next step is to break that goal down into bite-sized chunks. This one step alone will help you immensely to achieve what you want to achieve by getting rid of the feeling of overwhelm. Concentrate on achieving each small step one at a time, and give yourself a huge metaphorical pat on the back when you achieve each one. Really work on feeling ecstatic about your achieving each small step. This will help to motivate you to attack the next step with renewed vigor.
You need to relax and dream about your goals at least twice a day. Visualize the goal with you there celebrating your success and enjoying every minute of it. Visualize this success as if it has already happened. Do not allow any negative thoughts and doubts to creep into these moments. You must keep it positive and glowing.
Make this totally positive, don’t let any negative thoughts intrude. Imagine people you know, friends and family and even complete strangers being very impressed with your achievements and congratulating you on them. Get into the habit of thinking and acting in the way that you believe a person who already has the success you crave would think and act.
Read more on this subject from any number of sources and get out of the failure Rut. Build your plan with tiny achievable steps and believe in your ability to achieve it. Never doubt yourself, congratulate yourself every step of the way and regularly visualize your final goal. Live it, breathe it, and totally believe in it.
What you’re doing now is cultivating positive habits - yes, the positive can also be a habit. And once the positive has become habitual, you’ll find it to be as effortless as the negative was. Just remember to get into the habit of living and breathing your final positive goal. If you start today with a modicum of determination, your better life will be with you sooner than you think!
