Fitness Business: Benefits of Being Incorporated
February 26, 2008 by Lucy Jones
Could be that some of our readers are thinking of starting up their own business in fitness or a related market. A couple of our friends started their own business a few months back, they loved it so much, they became partners took a course to grasp the ins and outs and ended up opening their own fitness centre.
Their business started off in a small way, but after only a few months they became very popular and now have a staff of seven. Their well put together business plan paid off thanks to their attorney and bank and the incorporation service used to help set up their business incorporation was extremely helpful and a mine of useful information.
If you’re thinking of starting your own business online or off, whether you intend to start a fitness entity or business in another or related market, it’s a really good idea to incorporate your company.
No matter how small your business intentions are, things do have an uncanny way of expanding, being incorporated will send professional and credible signals to all those you deal with, giving you the advantage too of being on equal footing with the larger companies in the same market as yours.
Being incorporated has many advantages and benefits. One of the main aspects of this are, that business and personal life are two separate, legal entities, which ensure that personal assets are protected from any financial problems resulting from the business side of things. As well as this there are taxes that still need to be paid, but lower rates are generally the order of the day and with the added advantage of being an incorporated company, banks are usually happy to entertain and approve loans when presented with sound business plans.
So if you fancy being your own boss - there’s tons to consider and it’s a hard slog to start, but once you’ve committed - you’ll never look back.
