I suffered from Hyperhidrosis for most of my life.

A few years ago, I finally found out what was wrong with me, and had corrective surgery. Since that time, the excessive sweating on my hands and armpits had disappeared. I still have some sweating on my feet, but it is limited.

On the “About” section of my blog, I wrote extensively about this condition and how it affected me. So if you would like to know more, go check it out. And contact me if you like, if you have any questions.

Hyperhidrosis is a fairly common disorder shared by millions across the world.

By definition, Hyperhidrosis is the excessive sweating of the head, face, hands, feet and armpits no matter the temperature or conditions.

The sweating is erratic, unpredictable and uncontrollable. You do have some options.

@Paul Eilers – thanks for taking time out to visit and tell us about your own personal Hyperhidrosis situation. Glad to hear that surgery helped – that can’t have been easy, but I guess it was the lesser of two evils – so to speak.

    Hello Loretta.
Sounds like your friend has a really bad problem – that I would recommend only a doctor could advise on, especially when diabetes is involved. The humidity in Cyprus could have had a positive influence on your friends sweating problem – but this is only a guess. Many elements play a roll in heavy, excess sweating and as your friend is 64 – it could have something to do with her hormones – again this is only a guess as I’m not a physician. My immediate recommendation would be to make an appointment with the doctor and get a thorough medical examination to find the route of the problem.
