Is Your Exercise Routine Killing Your Weight Loss Dream?
November 3, 2009 · Leave a Comment
There comes a time in every person’s life when being in shape is desirable. When this occurs, many people decide to being participating in a serious exercise program. In the beginning, the program appears to work very well. Slowly, but surely, pounds begin to fly off the scale. Then, the weight loss reaches a plateau and it seems the no more pounds can be shed.
Why is that? Shouldn’t exercise always produce weight loss results and more muscles? Of course, exercise will produce these results when performed correctly. Unfortunately, most of us make a very common mistake when working out which affects our ability to shed pounds. Primarily, we keep the same monotonous workout program, never adding any variety. Consequently, the body gets used to the workout routine.
When you perform the same exercise day in, day out for several weeks the body will become accustomed to it. For example, if you were to work your biceps twice a week performing the same three exercises at the same number of reps, you would definitely see your biceps develop. However, this development would slowly reach a plateau since the body gets used to the movement of the exercise and the stress placed on the body. In short, your body will have adapted to the routine. This leads to the body no longer responding to the routine.
Yes, you may continue to burn a few calories, but you will not see the noticeable results you once did. While this problem is illustrated here through an example of biceps exercises, this problem could be illustrated in any number of ways with any exercise regimen. Simply put, too much of the same undermines a workout. Therefore, you must change up your exercise routine.
Another problem people will have is that they try to use exercise alone as a means of getting in shape. This is an ok plan, but it would be improved significantly if one were to reign in an improper diet. When a diet is too high in fat and sugars and calories are consumed in excess, no amount of exercise will be able to deliver great results. There is just too much poor quality, high calorie food that needs to be burned to improve ones appearance. Conversely, eating properly places the body in an absolutely prime position to be better suited for proper weight loss.
This is why it is recommended that you shake up your diet and exercise routine. Every so many weeks, you should try something new and different and change up your work out strategy. You should also be increasing your intensity levels every week so that your work out is more productive. A good diet and meal plan will help you as well.
The Medifast diet is one of the most highly recommended meal plans that will help to engage the body better in any work out plan. It is a meal replacement plan that takes the guess work out of deciding what is best to eat to create great weight loss results. How To Lose Weight Fast Naturally And Effectively
October 31, 2009 · Leave a Comment
Would you like to lose a few pounds? Most people would. Some would like to lose only a couple, some maybe a lot more. Wherever you lie on the spectrum, you’re not alone. It is no secret that more and more people are slowly but surely getting fatter and fatter.
I don’t know about you, but I’d pay a lot for a magic pill that I could take before bedtime, and wake up the next day looking like a runway super model.
Unfortunately, they don’t exist. Otherwise everybody would be skinny. Of course, there are many diets and programs that claim to help you lose weight quick in a short amount of time. But do they really work?
One issue is that if you lose too quickly, it usually comes back. And it brings more with it. I’m sure you’ve had this happen, like most of us. And each time it just seems to get harder and harder.
Another issue with this is that many times it’s not healthy, both in the short term and the long term. Short term problems can be dehydration and chemical imbalances. Long term problems can be actually losing muscle mass instead of fat. You lose weight, but you still have dangerous fat.
So what are we left with if we really do want to lose weight fast? Most people are starting to realize the most effective way to rapid weight loss is through increasing your metabolism. When your metabolism is high enough, you can start to burn fat twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.
How do you get to this level? By eating foods and doing exercises that support a naturally high metabolism. Good carbohydrates, good, natural fats found in fish, vegetables, and nuts, and lean protein.
Some really good exercises are those that build up your lean muscle mass. Low weight, high repetition exercises that work your large muscle groups. Legs, back, hips, thighs, core.
By doing the right exercises, and eating the right foods, your body will naturally revert to that sexy, slim shape that you were meant to have. And you’ll never have to worry about dieting again.

New Pill Stimulates Exercise Motivation
October 29, 2009 · Leave a Comment
Repeated and frequent exercise is the key to losing weight and keeping the extra, unwanted pounds at bay. Instead of dieting pills which are incompatible with exercising, a new workout pill is in development, designed to assist weight loss through exercise, which diet pills don’t do.
The pending new workout pill may be an effective tool in helping many people reach their exercising and fitness goals. Best of all, exercising produces no negative side effects other than temporary aches which are minor inconveniences when starting out.
“Workout pills have the same ease of use as diet pills. However, instead of giving you cramping and diarrhoea, they stimulate motivation to exercise, increase energy levels, and alleviate muscle fatigue helping you reach the exercise intensity needed to produce real fitness results and long-term weight loss.”
