The Growing Popularity of Breast Augmentation

Over time, breasts may begin to lose volume or change in shape due to weight loss, childbirth and nursing, or through natural ageing. A full, natural bust-line is every women’s wish and some may go so far as to decide on breast augmentation, which is a procedure that surgically places an implant behind each breast.

We hear about celebrities who have face-lifts, liposuction, tummy tucks and breast implants, but cosmetic surgery is not just for the rich and famous any more. Breast augmentation has become an acceptable procedure, not least because of its value in increasing self-confidence with some women, which is one of the most frequently reported results of breast augmentation procedures.

Breast implants increase breast volume and enhance their shape, where the procedure can be performed at any age after the breasts are fully developed. Patients often return to work after a few days. However, there is some concern that breast implants may increase the risk of breast cancer or other illnesses. Studies have not shown conclusively that breast augmentation increases the risk of breast cancer or any systemic illness, with no evidence suggesting that breast implants negatively affect pregnancy or the ability to breast-feed.

Whatever the reason for deciding on breast enlargement, careful research and preparation on the subject will help you enhance your breast augmentation experience. With your new and shapely figure, you’ll have your self-confidence back and a great image to go with it.

He was thrown through the wind shield of his own car, cast several meters over the middle ramp to the other side of the motorway, only to be hit sideways on by an on-coming car. Read more
