In this article, I would like to discuss the best weight loss programs or better yet, what does best really mean? Is the program that has the most sales the best? Is it the program that has the most positive testimonials?

You know that there really is not one size fits all. While you might want to listen to a friend that has had success with a certain weight loss program, it does not necessarily mean that it will also work for you.

None of us are the same. For example, a mother and a daughter might want to lose weight for completely different reasons. They have different motivations. Mom wants to be able to play with her grandchildren, and daughter wants to look hot for her new boyfriend.

Then there is fear! The fear of pain and disease, maybe even of dying. Being over-weight carries many health related dangers. You risk becoming diabetic, getting high blood pressure, damaging your knees and other joints that have to deal with the extra weight, etc.

So motivation is one factor. People also experience different results depending on whether they choose dieting or exercising. While it is said that a combination of the two is the best way to lose weight and keep it off, many people have lost weight by dieting alone.

What kind of person are you? What motivates you? Do you have the strength to make changes to your nutrition, or would you actually enjoy starting a fitness program? Those are some of the questions you have to ask yourself before deciding on which weight loss program might be best for you.

Once you are equipped with the answers to these questions, you are ready to dive into your research for a matching weight loss plan, as I would not recommend trying to lose weight without one. You will be able to find plenty of information on the Internet. Make sure you look at other people’s feedback and what it is they like about a particular program.
