3 Workout Tools You Shouldn’t Do Without

November 4, 2009 Filed Under: Home Gym

There are tons of the often expensive training machines that you can buy for your home gym, but with these three simple workout tools – the ball, resistance tube and the floor cloth – you simply can’t go wrong with your daily exercising.

If you are training at home on the living room floor, there are three things you shouldn’t fail to invest in: the great, innovative training ball, the just as great and innovative resistance tube – and the cotton floor cloth – not so innovative, but nevertheless great. The cloth and resistance tube are so convenient, that they can easily be thrown into a suitcase when you go on holiday or business trip and take up no room at all – so no excuse to abandon workouts while you’re away.

How you can use these great and inexpensive training tools – the ball, resistance tube and cotton floor cloth is described here – so judge for yourself whether they are worth a second look.

The ball:
A unique invention, as all ages and training levels can enjoy it’s use – even children can benefit from it.

The large ball requires balance, stability and coordination, where it stimulates the large external muscles, but especially the deeper layer of the body’s muscles.

The ball allows you to train the whole body effectively and focused, and while it brings out the playful inner child in you too, it’s giving you good fun into the bargain. Replacing the training bench well, the ball can also be used in combination with hand weights and a resistance tube.

The only drawback is that it’s not easy to pack and take with you on a trip.

The Resistance Tube:
Just like the ball, the resistance tube or elastic tube is a motivating and unique tool, that makes demands on all layers of muscles in the body. The elastic tube can always be adjust to match your resistance and desired intensity – so your not dependent on changing to many different training tools – the resistance tube is an all in one training tool. The more you pull the elastic, the more resistance you get.

The elastic tube can adapt to all positions, sitting, lying and standing, and whether you’re young or more mature, beginner or experienced user – everyone can benefit from it.

Resistance tubes are available with varying levels of difficulty, so there is actually a good “personal trainer”, as the tube delivers the load that’s needed at any given time.

Resistance tubes or elastic tubes can usefully and easily be used in combination with the ball.

The Cotton Floor Cloth:
Just like the elastic tube, you can take the floor cloth anywhere – the only additional requirement is a slippery floor!

The cotton floor cloth puts high demands on your stabilizers, but can be used by anyone – young as well as the more mature, beginner or experienced.

Using cotton cloth as a workout tool, you can train both legs and buns – alternatively stomach, chest and back. If you have lots of ’slippery’ floor space use one cloth for each foot to stand on and imagine you’re up there in the clouds somewhere, skiing up and down mountains at your favourite ski-resort.

The more space you have to “slip and glide” around, the more demands it will make on you so the greater the effectiveness of your workout and the better the benefits.

But make no mistake – training with the floor cloth, is just like the ball and elastic – it will bring out the child in you – as well as strengthen and give you great thighs. The skiing season is not that far away, so this is just super effective to get those thighs in form for your next ski holiday!

Just kicking a ball around your backyard can help. You can also set up a little obstacle course and weave in and out of it to improve your balance. If you have kids, they will have fun with the course, too! Actually, they may even set up one for you! You can get more information about Fitness Equipment which I browsed on internet can fetch you help.

Great article. These are really basic tools but you can get so much out of using them. I think these often get overlooked for the more expensive, larger equipment. Starting with the basics is the way to go and keeping them in your routine as you progress.
